The design for the hotel, which opened in 2001, was created by Amanda Rosa whose 'Riviera chic' style is laid back and comfortable. The hotel has 181 bedrooms and suites, some with balconies overlooking the sea. Guest rooms are furnished in contemporary style with lavender grey and beige colors, Italian furniture, and black and white photos from the 1930s. The hotel offers 24 hour room service and non-smoking floors. Columbus Brasserie, the hotel restaurant, serves informal Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel bar is known for its Martini Cocktails and its trendy decor.
