Surroundings
Next to the French border, in the surrounding sites of Ventimiglia known as Balzi Rossi, you will find the most important archaeological area of Liguria with its prehistoric museum and the luxuriant "Hanbury Botanical Gardens" located on the Mortola promontory.
For local wine tasting, go to Dolceacqua, in the hinterland, with its ancient castle and wonderful church.
In the centre of Sanremo, at 500 m from the hotel, don´t miss to visit the open-air market on Tuesdays and Saturdays, located near the Cathedral of San Siro (13th century). Next to the market square, discover the medieval centre known as "La Pigna. A must is also a visit to the Villa Ormond botanical gardens, at 1.5 km and to the famous Villa Nobel at 2 km from the hotel.
